We're back. Six days in Paris with an incredible group of women, and I'm still smiling about it.
There were long dinners that somehow turned into three-hour affairs because nobody wanted to leave. Morning walks through sleepy streets that smelled like butter, espresso, and possibility. Impromptu Gypsy Jazz in a tiny café where we looked at each other like, "Is this real life?"
Flea market treasures. Cabaret applause. Midnight laughter echoing down cobblestone streets.
The kind of conversations that only happen when smart, curious women get dropped into a beautiful city with nowhere urgent to be.
Women saying things like:
"Send for my things, we're Paris girls now."
"The pace gives us time to actually enjoy Paris."
"I haven't laughed this much in so long."
And of course… Paris doing what Paris does best.
The glow from apartment windows at dusk. The sparkle of the Eiffel Tower at exactly the right moment. Waiters who somehow make ordering sparkling water feel cinematic. Tiny tables, chocolate mousse served in bowls the size of soccer balls, slightly sore feet, and the strange realization that life is supposed to feel THIS alive sometimes. ✨
Trips like this remind me why I started Abroad on Purpose in the first place — because travel done thoughtfully can be one of the most joyful experiences we give ourselves.
"Honestly, it felt less like traveling with strangers and more like exploring Paris with stylish friends who all appreciated beautiful food, wine, culture, laughter, and meaningful experiences."
If you followed along on Instagram this week, you saw a glimpse of the fun. And if you're reading this thinking… "Next time, I'm there." You can be!
Because Paris will always be a good idea… especially with Abroad on Purpose.
I can't wait to return to Paris — hopefully with you,
Sydney 💛
