There is a point in planning an AOP trip where I should probably say: Okay, Sydney. That's enough.
And then I think of one more thing. One more tiny detail that would make the trip easier. More fun. More special. One less thing you have to think about and one more thing that makes you think, "Ohhhh, they thought of that. WOW."
So yes, I've added a lot. Some of it practical. Some of it completely unnecessary. And some of it simply because I think you'll love it.
📖 The 28-Page Itinerary — This isn't just an itinerary, it's your guidebook. It tells you where we're going, what we're doing, a little about each experience, and what's nearby. You have everything you need to make decisions confidently because you know what's next.
🔖 The Purse Itinerary — The entire week shrunk down to fit in the palm of your hand. Personalized with your name, French phrases, emergency numbers, and tear-off taxi cards with our hotel address already printed on them. No fumbling with your phone or trying to pronounce a Parisian street name. Just hand the card to your driver and enjoy the ride.
🥐 A Private Google Map — Every stop, every restaurant, every experience, every favorite café — marked by little croissant emojis, because of course they are. If you decide to wander after our wine and cheese lunch, you'll already know where to go without researching a thing.
💰 The Le Toilette Baggies — Yes, this is real. Sometimes public restrooms in Paris require a few euros. All of our travelers receive a little pouch with bathroom money tucked inside. I've always got you… and your bladder… covered.
📋 The AOP Packing List — Not just clothes. The chargers, adapters, medications, airplane comforts, and all those tiny things we panic we've forgotten. Designed to replace "I know I'm forgetting something…" with confidence and zero worry.
📝 The Travel Journal — A week in Paris deserves more than the photos in your camera roll. A notebook to record all of your favorite moments, with daily prompts like, "What made you laugh the hardest today?" The result is a keepsake you'll read years from now.
💌 Handwritten Notes — Half the fun is getting excited together. So I send handwritten notes throughout the months leading up to our trip.
🎁 The Welcome Box — Before we ever meet in Paris, a little piece of Paris arrives at your front door. My favorite treats, travel goodies, and a few surprises.
🤫 The Surprises — There are a few things I can't tell you about. Some moments are better discovered than explained. Those are my favorite ones.
"Abroad on Purpose seemed to understand that people don't just remember what they saw. They remember how they felt."
None of these things are necessary. But Abroad on Purpose has never been about simply seeing Paris. It's about experiencing Paris without carrying the mental load of planning it. Just show up. I've got everything else covered. Sydney
