You’re welcome to opt out of any group outing if you need rest, solo time, or feel called to wander elsewhere. That said, most guests end up loving the mix of shared moments and spacious freedom—it’s part of AOP’s magic!

No, international and domestic flights to the trip destination are not included. This allows travelers the flexibility to book flights that best suit their schedule and budget. We are happy to provide recommendations for arrival times and flight options.

Yes, private rooms are available for an additional fee. If you’re open to sharing a room, we can match you with a compatible roommate. Rooming options are available at checkout. If you need to change this, just let us know!

Yes, we require all travelers to purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and unforeseen disruptions. Proof of travel insurance will be required before departure. Not to worry, we can help you with attaining.

We continue to monitor global travel regulations and will follow local guidelines to ensure a safe and smooth experience. Any specific government requirements/border closures will be communicated before departure. We also strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers government issued trip interruptions.

Traveler Responsibilities
Travelers are responsible for securing any required visas, passports, or vaccinations for their destination.
Participants should ensure they are physically able to participate in activities outlined in the itinerary.

Liability & Travel Insurance
AOP is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damages incurred during the trip.
We require all travelers to purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and unforeseen disruptions.

Payments & Cancellations
A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to secure your spot. Payment plans are available.
Final payments must be made by the specified deadline in your contract.
Cancellations made before the deadline may be eligible for a partial refund, per the trip’s cancellation policy.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after the final payment deadline.
We require all AOP travelers to purchase travel insurance to cover unexpected changes.

Code of Conduct
AOP retreats are designed to be inclusive, uplifting, and safe spaces for all participants.
We expect travelers to respect their fellow travelers, local cultures, and our guides.
Any behavior that disrupts the group experience or violates local laws may result in removal from the trip without a refund.

Itinerary Adjustments
At Abroad on Purpose, every itinerary is thoughtfully curated- but travel has its surprises. We reserve the right to adjust the itinerary if needed—whether due to weather, local events, or unexpected changes on the ground.
Any shift will be made with your experience in mind, and you’ll be kept informed of any meaningful updates, and we’ll ensure the integrity and intention of the trip remain fully intact.
